Perspective is how a character sees and understands people and events in a story.1
Different people “see” different things differently. Each character has a unique perspective that depends on:
Their experiences
Their likes and dislikes
Their feelings
Their thoughts1
Analysing a character's perspective helps us understand their thoughts, feelings, and motivations. By exploring their actions or words, we gain deeper insights into their choices and the story. This understanding can reveal the underlying themes and emotions in the text, making the reading experience richer and more meaningful.
A big dog is walking down the street without a leash or its owner.
Mansi has a pet dog at home that looks similar.
Manan was bitten by a dog last year.
Think about:
How will Mansi and Manan react differently?
How will each of them talk about this later?
How will they feel if it happened again?
